Today you took Vocabulary 13 Unit Test.
Next you received a packet that will be helpful for you in writing your Optimist Speech. After the test you were to brief yourself on the material by highlighting notes or writing notes in the margin. We will be completing exercises and going over the material more extensively this week.
You also turned in your personal narrative (both final/rubric and rough drafts) along with your personal narrative exercises.
Tonight:
Start thinking of your Optimist Speech and what you will write about. You must use this statement as the first statement in your essay: "If I were Leader of the Free World, the first issue I would address would be...".
The speech/essay must last at least 4 min., but not exceed 5 min.
There can be no personal references that gives away your identity, the identity of your parents, school, community, etc.
